HRWA relies on the generous support of individuals, businesses, and foundations to meet our operating costs and support our ongoing programs in education, restoration and advocacy. We are also running a capital campaign to raise funds for renovating our office building, a former commercial bakery, into a "green" building. Your financial support is an investment in the health of the communities in the watershed and the improvement of the Chesapeake Bay.
You may give using a credit card through JustGive.org, a clearing house for contributions to nonprofit organizations. You set up your own personal account that is password protected. This is a secure transaction so all your credit card information is protected. You may give anonymously or let us know that you made the donation, so we can send you a letter for tax purposes. To start a transaction, just click here.
We gladly accept personal checks! Just print out and complete the Donation Form and mail it with your contribution to:
Herring Run Watershed Association
P.O. Box 24567

Businesses contributing $500 or more worth of money, goods, or real property to the Herring Run Watershed Association can earn tax credits equal to 50% of their contribution. These tax credits are in addition to deductions on both Federal and State taxes as a result of the charitable contribution.
Contributing businesses are required to complete a simple one-page form and submit it to HRWA, along with documentation on the value of the contribution. Businesses that wish to donate real property must contact the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development/Community Investment Tax Credit Program for approval prior to making the donation. Please contact Mary Sloan Roby, Executive Director, for more information about this program.
After several years of devoted service, our beloved Truckie is retiring. With many thanks to Mel & Carol Freeman for their generous donation, we bid a fond farewell to a truly tireless workhorse, essential in our day-to-day greening efforts.
We are in desperate need of a new(er) truck, and we need your help! If you, or someone you know has a used 4x4 truck in good condition, or can suggest a dealer that might be willing to work with us on an affordable leasing option, please let us know as soon as possible.
